Noel Gallagher Quits Oasis After Fighting With Liam

In a statement posted on the band's official website, he said, "It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."
Before Noel walked out of the band, the guitarist and his brother/bandmate Liam Gallagher were involved in a fight at Rock en Seine festival in Paris, according to singer Amy MacDonald who was at the venue when the incident happened. "Oasis cancelled again with one minute to stage time!!! Liam smashed Noel's guitar, huuuge fight," she wrote on her Twitter.
Liam Gallagher Responds to Noel Gallagher's Hint of Oasis Timeout

Oasis' Live Concerts in China Get Banned
March 03, 2009 11:03:30Oasis' live shows in China have been banned by government in the country after they found out that lead guitarist Noel Gallagher appeared at a Free Tibet benefit concert taking place in Randall's Island in 1997. Announcing the news were promoters Emma Entertainment/Ticketmaster China on Saturday, February 28.
Responding to the promoters' statement, a publicist for the band comes out giving a confirmation that the cancellation is indeed true. "The Chinese authorities action in canceling these shows marks a reversal of their decision regarding the band, which has left both Oasis and the promoters bewildered," the publicist said.
Oasis and Jonas Brothers Represent the Best and the Worst at NME Awards 2009

Though unable to attend the ceremony due to live commitments in Europe, the band sent acceptance video featuring also host Russell Brand. When asked about what message behind the newly-debuted video, a publicist for the band said that "the video is director Wiz's vision and is not directly related to the song." The publicist then added, "Only Wiz knows what the story is but themes around fame, celebrity and secret lives are clearly part of his inspiration."
Oasis to Give New Songs for Free

As posted on the band's official website, the music video is directed by co-owners of Ghost Box Music Records, duo Julian House and Julian Gibbs. The band are seen performing the song through screen saver and hot rocks effects caused by natural disaster. Oasis Going Sidestream in 'Dig Out Your Soul'

In an interview with BBC6, Noel states that he and the other band mates will get rid of usual sounds that people often hear on radios. "It's not Britpop, let's put it that way. It's not our usual thing," says he. "Some of it sounds a bit glam. There's no pop singles on it. I'd be amazed if anything else gets on the radio past the first single." Furthermore, he reveals that he will play drums on some of the tracks. "It's just really exciting, three of the tracks have got two drummers on, me and Zak Starkey playing drums," he adds, thrilled.

It's baby booming time. Charlotte Church and Salma Hayek, both have given birth. And just now it is reported that Oasis' Noel Gallagher also welcomed the arrival of his second child Saturday September 22nd.
His longtime girlfriend Sara MacDonald gave birth to a baby boy in London at 11.15 am. The 7lb 5oz boy has been named Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher. Both mother and child are doing well, his spokeswoman confirmed in a statement.
Oasis' Rockumentary Released in DVD

Oasis' rockumentary 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down' is finally molded into a two-disc DVD and will be released October 29 internationally. The 95 minutes footage looks back on the British band's 'Don't Believe the Truth' world tour which took place from May 2005 to March 2006.
Disc one will contain the tour documentary with members of the band slipping in personal commentaries. There will also be a Noel Gallagher question and answer section with the fans that is taken from a 2006 event in New York. On the second disc, 16 tracks played during the band's live performance at City of Manchester Stadium on 2nd July 2005 will be topped with rare footage and pictures sent in by fans who attended the concert.

Noel Gallagher is set to launch his solo career in the middle of Oasis' break. According to the singer, he has some songs ready for a record.
In an interview with NME magazine he said, "I've got a backlog of songs that are slowly building up. I've got about four or five songs which are probably too far in the past as far as the band is concerned, but which could work on my record. I don't know for sure but it looks like its coming."

Ringo Starr has been tapped to be the guest presenter of the Brit Awards, during which the former Beatle will present pop-rockers Oasis with the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Music Award.
The Brit's Awards is slated to take place February 14th at London's Earls Court. Oasis' "Stop the Clocks" is at the 2nd spot, ahead of the Beatles' "Love" at 3rd, and U2's compilation "U218 Singles" at No. 4. George Michael's "Twenty Five" is the fifth great album on the chart.

Oasis and Arctic Monkeys were double winners at the 2006 Q Awards, took place Oct 30th at London's Grosvenor House Hotel. Both bands won two awards each, with the British rock band took home the award for Best Act in the World Today along with the Classic Songwriter Award for Noel Gallagher.
The Arctic Monkeys, had four nominations, kept up the Best Album for "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am Not" and the People's Choice awards. British Rock Band Oasis Are to Release Greatest Hits Album

British rock band Oasis have announced they are about to release a greatest hits album on November 20th later this year. The set, tentatively titled "Stop the Clocks", will feature a mixture of chart singles and lesser-known B-sides, all chosen by the band.
The 18-track double album will among others include their 1994 debut single "Supersonic" and their sing-along classic "Wonderwall" besides that of the band's best B-sides, "Acquiesce" and "Half The World Away".

Oasis Signs £1,000,000 Advertising Deal
