2009 CMA Awards Nominations Outed, Brad Paisley Gets Most Nods
September 10, 2009 09:09:36Nomination recipients for this year's CMA Awards have been revealed at ABC's "Good Morning America" and CMT's studio in Nashville on September 9. Coming to GMA announcing the nominees were Darius Rucker and Lee Ann Womack. Meanwhile, the press conference in Nashville was hosted by Cody Alan and Alecia Davis with Randy Houser as its announcer.
Leading the nominations list was Brad Paisley who took home six kudos. He will compete in such categories as Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Music Video. Following Brad's domination were Keith Urban, Jamey Johnson, George Strait, Taylor Swift and Zac Brown Band with four nods each. Other country musicians who grabbed multiple nods include Kenny Chesney and Randy.

February 12, 2009 11:02:15The nominees for this year's Academy of Country Music Awards have been revealed during a press conference at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville on February 11. Announced by Julianne Hough, Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes and Jessica Simpson, it was revealed that Brad Paisley and Heidi Newfield both led the pack with six and four counts respectively.
Brad and Heidi were up against each other in Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year. For the three categories, they were joined by such contenders as Miranda Lambert, Trace Adkins, Jamey Johnson and Carrie Underwood among others.

Rascal Flatts, George Strait, and Sugarland are some of the artists who receive the prestigious awards at the November-12 ceremony.
Starting with the announcement of the winner from "Song of the Year", Sugarland's "Stay" wins over Alan Jackson's "Good Time", Brad Paisley's "Letter to Me", Strait's "I Saw God Today", and Trace Adkins' "You're Gonna Miss This". The award from this category goes to songwriter and primary publisher, meaning that Byron Gallimore, Kristian Bush, and Jennifer Nettles as the producers of "Stay" share the prize to be brought home.

No leaking is necessary, country music group Little Big Town is giving their new single for free. 'I'm With the Band', a new song to be included in their not-yet titled album is made available for free download.
The downloading begins today (August 24) and will expire within 24 hours at 12:00 A.M. on Saturday, (August 25). The song along with its video music premiere are available on the band's official website.

Preceded by CMT Music Awards last month, this year's Academy of Country Music Awards boast similar faces in the guest list. The May 15 night event has presented its performers and called the winners one by one.
Two times winner Kenny Chesney secured its third winning for the category Entertainer of the Year, beating this year's frontrunner George Strait. With the winning, he becomes one out of three artists to take the award three times in a row. The beaten Strait meanwhile, took other trophies in two categories, Single of the Year and Song of the Year both for "Give It Away".

Kimberly Roads of country music band Little Big Town has tied the knot with longtime friend, Stephen Schlapman, on November 28. Roads' rep, Tracy McGlocklin, confirmed the good news to People.
"It was small and intimate and precious," Tracy said. "Bride, groom, and all the guests were barefoot."
Chesney to Perform at Football and Soccer Stadiums

Country superstar Kenny Chesney has included at least nine stadium dates into his "The Road & The Radio" tour, which begins with a March 23-24 stand at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio.
The nine dates included in his tour route this year, including National Football League stadiums in Boston, Nashville, Seattle, Detroit and Tampa, Fla., and Major League Soccer stadiums in Dallas, Chicago, Columbus, Ohio, and Los Angeles.
