August 05, 2009 01:08:05Who took home prizes at this year's Kerrang! Awards have been announced at a gala ceremony held in London on August 3. Out of thirteen categories, Slipknot were the only band who walked home with more than one prize.
This rock band received two kudos at the annual awards. They were named Best International Band, winning over Green Day, Metallica, Madina Lake and Lamb of God. They also got Best Live Band title, beating Metallica, Enter Shikari, The Prodigy and Gallows.
Limp Bizkit Reuniting for World Tour and New Album
February 13, 2009 09:02:06Limp Bizkit will be reuniting for a spring world tour and new studio album. Confirming the news are the band's vocalist Fred Durst and guitarist Wes Borland in a joint statement on their official website.
"We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other," so the statement read. "Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back."

Eric Clapton's unmistakable guitar rendition of "Layla" has been voted as the worst cover song. "Layla" that was originally sung by Derek and the Dominos has topped the poll gathered by RetroCrush.com.
The website has commented upon the result, "It's the equivalent of Robert Plant and Jimmy Page doing a kazoo version of Stairway To Heaven."
Fred Durst Desperately Wants Wes Borland for Limp Bizkit

Fred Durst expressed his willingness to make peace with former team mate Wes Borland to reprise the glorious days of Limp Bizkit. Though he was not asking for a reunion, Durst wishes that the band's original line up can tour around the world.
He wrote in MySpace blog, "The feeling we have on stage as Limp Bizkit is like no other feeling I have ever had, and no other feeling has been so rewarding. Imagine that me and Wes could work things out together and be a band again," Durst wrote. "We had so many wonderful times ... [and] I am proud to say that I have learned so much from my mistakes and it has taken a long time to evolve to this place where I finally let myself be healed. Without Wes, I wouldn't know what it is like to work with the best."
Limp Bizkit Insurance Trouble
August 15, 2005 10:08:46A mom named Barbara Michalik, in December 2003, filed a claim in the Supreme Court of New South Wales naming Limp Bizkit, its personnel, and their show promoters, to have all caused her daughter's death. The victim, Jessica Michalik, 16, died after being trampled by fans at the "Big Day Out" festival in Australia on January 26, 2001.
The suit, further, claimed Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst "incited" the crowd to rush toward the stage. So, the girl's mom asking for compensation from the band. Just now, Pennsylvania-based Diamond State Insurance Co. that issued a policy for Limp Bizkit is asking a judge to rule it has no liability for any damages awarded as the result of Jessica's death. The suit in Los Angeles Superior Court said the band was not charged with any wrongdoing.
