KISS, meanwhile, land at the second place on the chart with their album "" which garners around 108,000 copies. It becomes the band's highest-charting album and second best selling number after their 1998's set "" opened with 110,000 units.

' frontman Gene Simmons revealed that he is willing to take the runner-up of "" season eight, , on a tour with his band. "He can come on tour whenever he'd like," Gene told Extra after the Idol result show on May 20 was wrapped up.

"Of course he'd have to put his armor on because the fans, especially the KISS fans, take no prisoners," Gene elaborated his statement. "You gotta go big. Gotta be strong. You gotta be a rock, baby!" During the occasion, he also praised Adam stating, "Adam was fantastic. What a powerful and attractive man he is."

Disappointed at Industry, KISS Not Writing New Album

Despite mapping out extensive tour for May and June this year, have thrown away the idea of showcasing a new material on stage. Frontman Gene Simmons have confirmed that there will be no new album from the rock band because he was disappointed at today's industry.

"There's no new Kiss material because there's no record industry," Simmons said. "Any band who tries to do new material is trying to climb a slippery mountain. Every day record companies are folding. It'd be nice to have new Kiss songs, but what's the business model? Do you just put songs on the Internet for free? Then what?”

The video for the official remix also appeared online on Thursday, August 29. There's not much difference of the clip from the original one that adapted 1998 movie 'Blade', apart from the presence of Jadakiss.

Legendary rock act has completed the second volume of their “encyclopedia”. The follow up to “Kissology: Volume One, 1974 – 1977” will be ready for purchase on August 14.

This time, the package marked “Kissology: Volume Two, 1978 – 1992” will contain 3 DVDs and a disc that will vary by retailer. First copy will load mostly interviews and news on the band during the years including the infamous 1979 “The Tomorrow Show” interview where tension among the band was obvious. Still in the same disc, there will be an unreleased European theatrical version of U.S. flick “Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park”.

An important detail is coming up from glam metal band 's newest album "". The album that offers a selection of classic rock tune covers has revealed its heavily anticipated tracklisting. The 13 tracks are ranging from 's "Suffragete City" up to Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band".

On January 3, the band posted on their official My Space page that they need the help from fans to pick songs for the album. Some suggested the band covering 's "Freebird," Sweet's "Ballroom Blitz," and 's "You Shook Me All Night Long". None of the songs was included in the record along with the obvious suggestion of 's "Poison." The band however kept Sweet and Alice Cooper in mind and decided to do their other songs.

Rock group invades another territory beyond music. The music act has partnered with comic-book production company Platinum Studios to create their very own Comic Book company.

The comic-book entertainment company, called the Kiss Comics Group, run by KISS leaders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. The company will kick off with a book, "Kiss 4K," and eventually venture out into platforms such as mobile, online, film, television and licensed merchandise products.

It's a baby joy for singer/guitarist Paul Stanley and his wife, Erin Sutton. The couple, who tied the knot last November, has welcomed a baby boy on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

The newly-born, named Colin Michael Stanley was born in Los Angeles and weighed in at 8 lbs. 6 oz. On his son, Stanley told People magazine "Lucky for him, he looks just like his mother".

Give the rock icon a kiss coz they deserve that anyway. The group will on December 13th release a double-disc concert DVD, "Rock the Nation Live!," via Image Entertainment. To make it special and distinct from their other previous projects, the new set will contain abundance of special features and rare songs, like "Kiss Powervision/Select-A-Kiss."

"Rock the Nation Live!," taped in summer 2004 in Washington, D.C., and Virginia Beach, features core members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons flanked by guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer. "We were playing a lot of songs that Kiss hadn't played in years, or haven't played at all," Thayer told Billboard.com.
