'Whip It!' Brought Roller Derby Team to L.A. Premiere
September 30, 2009 03:09:49Hollywood has become the host of a unique Los Angeles premiere of "Whip It!". On Tuesday, September 29, black carpet was rolled out in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre to greet the oncoming celebrities, and it saw members of the L.A. Derby Dolls roller derby team skating down as well as performing stunts.
Black seemed to be the theme for the premiere as majority of the cast attending were seen in a dress or suit that is dominated with the dark color. Drew Barrymore, Ellen Page, Juliette Lewis, Eve, Zoe Bell and Landon Pigg were some of the cast members wearing black for the evening.

Hosted by The Cinema Society and Dolce and Gabbana, the comedy drama held a star-studded special screening event at the Sunshine Cinema on Monday, October 13, in New York City.
Hitting the red carpet solo without her director husband Guy Ritchie, Madonna came in wearing a conservative black dress completed with a pair of black stilettos. Of her movie, the legendary pop singer who is circling the globe for her Sticky & Sweet tour shared, "I'm so happy with the finished product. Writing it was actually my favorite part because it is so different from everything I do and deep down inside I'm really a writer."
Juliette Lewis to Voice Lead in 'Metropia'
January 23, 2008 10:01:54The star of "The Other Sister" Juliette Lewis will fill on the lead voice for Swedish animated film "Metropia". According to Variety, the 34-year-old actress will join Vincent Gallo for the voicing role.
Directed by Tarek Saleh and penned by Tarik Saleh, Stig Larsson and Fredrik Edin, the film produced with $5 million budget is set in the future when the world has run out of oil. The movie that will also feature voices of Udo Kier, Stellan Skarsgard, Sofia Helin, Shanti Roney and Alexander Skarsgard is said to combine animation and live action. Additionally, it has been in development for four years and is expected to hit theaters in spring 2009.
Juliette Lewis Appeared Nude for Punk Designer
November 01, 2005 12:11:10Hollywood actress Juliette Lewis is set to pose nude for the sake of an advertisement. To be more specific, she will be seen stretched between two chairs in a dressing room, wearing only a pair of jeans for an ad for punk designer Johan Lindeberg.
The decision to pose nude first came after Lindeberg offered Lewis to design the stage costumes for her group Juliette and the Licks. To your notice, Lewis has just finished filming "The Darwin Awards" and is currently shooting "Catch and Release."
