Universal Republic rock band Godsmack have revealed details for their 2006 North American tour, which is embarked in support of their latest CD release "Godsmack IV" which recently debuted at the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.
Has been tapped to join them on the tour is Rob Zombie. The North American tour is set to open August 25th in Dallas, TX at the Smirnoff Music Center and will run through October 1st in Concord, CA at the Chronicle Pavilion.

Hard rock band Tool leads the Billboard 200 charts with their latest set "10,000 Days". Their first album in five years sold 564,000 copies in its first week of release, such amount enough to bring the music act to No. 1 spot on the chart. Meanwhile, Pearl Jam's self titled album debuts at No. 2, sold more than 279,000 copies.
Debut at No. 3 is Mobb Deep's "Blood Money" which has been sold 106,000 copies, ahead of Disney's "High School Musical soundtrack" at No.4 and Rascal Flatts' "Me & My Gang" at No. 5. Securing the 6th place on the Billboard 200 is "Now That's What I Call Music! 21" by various artists, and at No. 7 is Godsmack's "IV".

The U.S. pop charts sees another new winner as Boston metal band Godsmack rules the race on the very top position with its latest release "IV". The set sold 211,000 copies in the week ended April 30. Meanwhile, rock quintet Taking Back Sunday's "Louder Now" bows at No.2 with 158,000 units.
Bruce Springsteen's "We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions" opens at No. 3 with 149,000 copies, ahead of Avant's "Director" at No. 4 with 123,000 copies. Rihanna's sophomore Def Jam album, "A Girl Like Me" opens at No. 5 sold 115,000 copies in its first week. Country trio Rascal Flatts' "Me and My Gang" slid to No. 6 with 111,000 copies.
