'True Blood' Finale Teaser Featuring Depeche Mode

With only one more episode left in the second season, "" is airing a teaser which utilizes 's "Corrupt". The teaser for the season 2 finale was played on Sunday night without the band but HBO has since released a longer version online that includes scenes of the band recording the song.

The "True Blood" scenes are those from the title while the glimpses of the band are cut from the "Studio Sessions" featurette on the "" box set. "Universe" is the twelfth studio album from the rock band which was released back on April 20, and "Corrupt" is the song that never got out as an individual sale.

Winners of the 13th Annual MTV Europe Music Awards

Served as host and performer at the 13th annual MTV Europe Music Awards, held Nov 2nd in Copenhagen, also was one of the many winners. The pop singer even took home two awards all at once, one for the category of Best Pop and the other one was for Best Male.

Laryngitis Forced Depeche Mode to Cancel Concert

Fans were left disappointed as music act canceled its concert, scheduled to be held Thursday May 11th, 2006 in Chicago, because lead singer Dave Gahan is suffering from laryngitis. The band's publicist, Mitch Schneider, said "a doctor who examined Gahan on Thursday morning told him to rest his voice".

In a news released on the same day, Schneider said that, after three shows in Mexico, Gahan's voice was "challenged" at the Kansas City concert because of cold temperatures at the outdoor venue. And by now on, the band's management is looking into scheduling another concert in Chicago.

Depeche Mode to Release "Milan's Filaforum" DVD

Their two shows in the weekend of February 18 at Milan's Filaforum went very success. About which the band, 's drummer Andrew Fletcher commented "We're quite excited, because the audience went absolutely bananas."

Wanting more on their plate, the music group has had the shows recorded for a live DVD that is expected for a September release date. "We did Paris (for the last DVD), and we thought we'd do Milan since we work there a lot, and it worked out really well," Fletcher continued.

British synth rock band has been selected to be one of the headliners for the 7th Annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival slated to be held at Empire Polo Field in Indio, California on the last two days of April. Set to be the closing act on the first day of this event, the band will share the stage with other performers, like , , Sigur Ros, , and Nine Black Alps among others. Tickets for the festival will go on sale by Saturday, February 4.

Depeche Mode to Headline Coachella Fest

Reports sparked these past few days mentioned that is about to headline the first night of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, to be held April 29-30 in southern California. In the meantime, other artists to perform on the event remain undisclosed with the announcements about to be released several weeks away.

Just like usual, this year's event which is its 7th year will take place at the 50,000-capacity Empire Polo Field in Indio, Calif., about 130 miles east of Los Angeles. Moreover, the festival also will be the subject of the two-hour retrospective documentary "Coachella," which will premiere January 19 at Los Angeles' Orpheum Theater and roll out January 24 to additional U.S. theaters.

Teen pop singer successfully tops the U.S. pop charts on Wednesday with her new album "I Am Me" sold 220,000 copies in the week ended October 23. To follow her at No. 2 on the chart is 's "Thanks for the Memories," with sales of 193,000 copies.

Opens at No. 3 is 's "Timeless" which sold for 185,000 copies, ahead of Canadian rock band 's "All the Right Reasons" at No. 4 with 132,000 copies in its third week and 's "A Time To Love" at No. 5 with 121,000 copies. To start at No. 6 is Houston rapper 's solo effort "Trill" with 118,000 copies. In the meantime, 's first new studio album in four years, "Playing the Angel" secures the 7th position, followed behind by ' "Monkey Business" which drops four places to No. 8 with 94,000 copies. Last week's champ, drops drastically to No. 9 with her "Unplugged" set sold for 83,000 copies in its second week. Depeche in Mood to Play the Angel

Comes back from their more than four years break, is going to hold a North America tour. The tour, to follow the October 18 release of the trio new album "Playing the Angel," will be begun on November 2 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Moreover, the tour will also include a December 9 show in Fairfax, Va., and a rare club shows November 26 in Las Vegas. A European tour will follow in early 2006. Details are available at the band's website.

Depeche Mode is ready to play the "Angel." "Playing the Angel," the band will have that new album released in October via Mute internationally and Reprise/Warner Bros. in North America.

Moreover, the band will also have a North American tour, during which they will play such tracks, as "Macrovision," "I Want It All," "Sinner Me," "Precious," "John the Revelator," "Suffer Well" and "A Pain That I Used To Be," so said in the band's Web site (http://www.depechemode.com). Depeche Mode Recording New Album

Depeche Mode members are all gathered in Santa Barbara, California, recording the follow-up to their 2001's "Exciter," which previously debuted at No. 2 on the European Top 100 Albums chart. The not yet titled set, co-produced by the band with Ben Hiller, is due the fall via Mute internationally and by Reprise/Warner Bros. in North America.

Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan says to be very excited about the new material on the set and that they're all in the group feel incredibly positive about it because Ben Hillier has brought a whole new dynamic to the group which is quite inspiring.
