'New' Van Halen Giving Only the Best in 25-Dates Tour

With the addition of Eddie Van Halen's 16-year-old son Wolfgang on bass, the veteran rockers of Van Halen are set to bring their set in new spirit and full throttle. As promised , the band announced a comeback that is brought on streets in a 25-dates tour with David Lee Roth fronting.
"This is not a reunion. This is a whole new band," Roth said. "It is totally blowing our minds and I think it will yours, too," guitarist Eddie Van Halen added. "It's better than it's ever been." The 'new' band has been rehearsing for the last four months and Roth said that the formation created sound that is "better than it has ever been".

Do not expect much for a Van Halen reunion. That sounds too good to be true, at least for this time around. Rumor has it that the Van Halen reunion tour that was never officially announced is now officially postponed indefinitely.
Report on the band reunion first sparked after original singer David Lee Roth signed to again join with the rest of the band's line up. It was announced previously that the reunion tour will be a 40-city tour with tickets expected to go on sale this weekend.

The rumors appear to be true when frontman Eddie Van Halen confirmed that David Lee Roth is rejoining Van Halen for a 40-city North American tour.
In a statement posted on the group's Web site Friday February 2nd, guitarist Eddie said in a statement, "I am very excited to get back to the core of what made Van Halen."

Fans, prepare yourself for the return of Van Halen to the road. Talk is heating up out there that original frontman David Lee Roth is about to return to the band for the first time in more than 20 years.
By the time the lineup complete, Van Halen will sign a contract to produce a 40-date amphitheatre tour for tour promoter Live Nation this summer.

"I talked to the drummer (Alex Van Halen) about a week ago," so he told the Pittsburgh Tribune Review. "And I think, eventually, the inevitable will happen." Seemingly indicated that the reunion will happen in the near future and its realization is really just a matter of time, he added: "It definitely won't be rockers with walkers."
One of founding members of the band along with Michael Anthony, Alex and Eddie Van Halen, Roth actually has twice intended to hold the reunion since his departure in 1985, but all were never materialized.
Roth to Appear on a Bluegrass Tribute to Van Halen
December 17, 2005 10:12:42Billboard.com reported that vocalist David Lee Roth is about to make an appearance on a bluegrass tribute album to his former band, Van Halen. Tentatively titled "Strummin' With the Devil," the set due March 14, 2006 via CMH Records.
Roth reportedly will sing versions of "Jump" and "Jamie's Cryin'". Moreover, the set also will include other Van Halen favorites, including that of "I'll Wait", "Hot for Teacher", "Eruption", "Panama" and "Unchained".
