Backstreet Boys Start New Album's Work
July 25, 2008 10:07:47Although they are still busy with their tour, pop group Backstreet Boys seem keen to release a new album soon. The latest reports said that the group have already started to work on the follow up to "Unbreakable", that was dropped on October 30, 2007.
Speaking to Billboard.com Backstreet's Howie Dorough revealed that the group have already recorded some new tracks during their European tour. Howie also stated that the group will finish the work for their sixth studio album after their North American tour dates ends on September 6.
A.J. McLean of Backstreet Boys Plotting a Solo Career
March 19, 2008 04:03:42One piece of Backstreet Boys, A.J. McLean has announced that he will go solo like his band mate Brian Littrell. McLean has even put tickets on sale for two sneak-preview of his solo concerts in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 23 and Monday, March 24 at Anaheim's House of Blues and L.A.'s Sunset Strip respectively.
His manager Eric Podwall confirmed to People that McLean is going solo, stating, "After 13 years with the Backstreet Boys, and 75 million records sold worldwide, A.J.'s excited to take a step out on his own and present his music, in his style. He's excited to connect to his fans on a one-on-one basis at smaller venues - something you can't do in large arenas - and to give them a taste of some of the music that will appear on his first solo record later this year."
Video Premiere: Backstreet Boys' 'Helpless When She Smiles'
December 12, 2007 01:12:46Backstreet Boys have premiered a video of 'Helpless When She Smiles' on Yahoo! Music today (December 12). Member Nick Carter allegedly was hit by "cow patty" while filming this one.
The black and white clip was filmed on November 15 in Joshua Tree National Park with Bernard Gourley as the director. Gourley previously penned clip of Deftones' 'Mein' and will soon release another work for M.I.A.'s 'Paper Planes'.

Backstreet Boys' new album has begun taking shape with the revelation of the cover art. The group, now consists of four members only, choose close up pictures of each member combined on a black and white still.
The album that is confirmed to be titled 'Unbreakable' will be released in U.S. on October 30 and six days earlier in Japan. First single 'Inconsolable' has just premiered its music video on September 14.

Backstreet Boys has completed the music video for their new single 'Inconsolable'. It was premiered on September 14 on Yahoo! Music.
The video was shot in Venice Beach, California last month and directed by Ray Kay (Nick Lachey, Snoop Dogg). This would be the first video of the band without member Kevin Richardson who left for personal reason in 2006.

Howie Dorough, one of the Backstreet Boys, is engaged to marry his longtime girlfriend, Leigh Boniello. The singer popped the question at a family New Year's Eve party on December 31, 2006 at Boniello's family home in New Jersey. The couple planning to walk down the aisle later this year.
"She wasn't expecting it, and I was quite nervous, more nervous about proposing to her in front of 40 family and friends than about performing in front of 400,000 people on-stage," the boy-bander told People adding that he had managed to keep the engagement to his "soul-mate" secret for more than seven months.

Backstreet Boys are less than three months away from releasing their new album, and they still haven't found the perfect name for it. But progress has continually been made, approximately 11 or 12 songs are expected to make the cut and member Nick Carter said that they are up to putting final touches.
"We are just putting the finishing touches on it and it sounds incredible," Carter said. "We didn't needed to cut that many because I think that we're back into our rhythm of what the group is about. I felt like 'Never Gone', the last album we did, was basically an experimental album in the sense that we'd been away for four years. We were just trying to find out niche again and I think now we're back in that pocket."

With one member down, Backstreet Boys is back as a quartet in an untitled album that will release its early impact. First single "Inconsolable", a piano ballad topped with rock sound will roam U.S. radio August 27.

Kevin Richardson, the former member of boy band Backstreet Boys, is a father for the first time when his wife Kristin Willits gave birth to their first child together, a baby boy, Tuesday July 3rd.
The infant is named Mason Richardson. "We are officially parents," Kevin wrote on his online page Wednesday July 4th confirming the good news. "At 4:56 a.m. Tuesday morning (7/3/07), our son Mason made his entrance into the world."

The album itself due Tuesday, while the tour will be begun July 22 at the Sound Advice Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, Fla., and run through September 2 at the Clark County Amphitheater in Portland, Oregon.
