Simpson & Lachey Marriage Is Shaky
October 21, 2005 04:10:20While they are busy denying rumors claiming their marriage is on rock, Hollywood couple, Jessica Simpson and husband Nick Lachey, is reported to have a "to-save marriage" trip. It is said that their recent trip to Italy was their last attempt to save their marriage. Well at least that's what music manager Lou Pearlman said.
Pearlman, who represents Lachey's friend and former 98 Degrees bandmate Jeff Timmons, claimed to have heard the couple is struggling. "Timmons says Nick told him, 'My marriage is shaky right now. I'm hoping this trip will turn things around. This trip could be a second honeymoon - or preparation for a divorce. I don't know what's going to happen, and Jessica doesn't know what's going to happen, but we're going to give it our best shot.'" So he said to America's Star magazine.
98 Boys Reunite for Friend Election
September 03, 2005 11:09:53It's been so long that 98 Degrees, consisting of members Justin Jeffre, Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, and Jeff Timmons, do not make a public appearance. Yet, all of them will on Saturday afternoon reunite to attend a campaign function for Jeffre, one of seven candidates in the nonpartisan Sept. 13 mayoral primary that will determine the two candidates for a November run-off.
Jeffre, who runs for Cincinnati mayor, is afraid that he hasn't been taken seriously despite his active campaign for the seat. Thus he asks his band mates to perform their song, "Invisible Man," at the rally, "dedicated to some local media outlets that ignored me," so he said to the Associated Press. On that occasion, which for sure isn't a concert, 98 Degrees is set to appear at a nightclub where admission will be a donation of at least $10 towards Jeffre's campaign.
98 Degrees Singer Runs for Cincinnati Mayor
April 05, 2005 12:04:4398 Degrees singer Justin Jeffre is focusing himself to be Cincinnati's next mayor, succeeding its latest one Mayor Charlie Luken, the incumbent Democrat, who said he won't seek re-election. Serious and intend to win the election, Jeffre said he wants to bring people from all over the city together through Cincinnati's arts and entertainment venues and build a strong downtown.
He said "We need to sell this city back to the people of this city. We've forgotten how great this city can be." Furthermore, he also wants VH1 to follow his campaign for a reality series, but VH1 officials have not yet uttering decision on his proposal. As for the election itself, Mayoral candidates are set to face off in a primary on September 13, with the top two vote-getters competing in the November 8 election. The filing deadline for the primary is June 30.
