Carl and Russell in 'Up'
It's already difficult to imagine that two people with a 70 years gap of age could understand each other. So, expecting a cranky and codger man to befriend a roly-poly young explorer is like pushing a camel through the eye of a needle. But, in this latest Pixar animation "Up", 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen (Edward Asner) does get close to 8-year-old Russell (Jordan Nagai) after the old man is stuck with the uninvited guest in a thrilling adventure one could only dream of. Though their personality clashes won't make one rolling down on the floor laughing, it will still draw a smirk.
