AceShowbiz - Bosses at technology firm Intel have signed Black Eyed Peas rapper will.i.am as their new frontman - in a deal to develop devices that appeal to youth. The "Boom Boom Pow" hitmaker was introduced as the firm's new Director of Innovation on Tuesday, January 25 during Intel Corporation's internal sales and marketing conference in Anaheim, California.

The rapper will contribute music and assist in the development of devices such as laptops and smart phones. Intel head of marketing Deborah Conrad says, "It's imperative that Intel and our innovations are kept in front of the global youth culture that embraces new devices and new forms of communication and entertainment."

The thrilled rapper took to his Twitter.com blog to announce the news, writing, "Every beat I make is made with intel. And now were partners."
