AceShowbiz - Marshals maintained its position as the leading series across all platforms during the week of March 2-8, according to Nielsen ratings. The CBS drama, a spinoff of Yellowstone, attracted an average of 17.2 million viewers for its March 8 episode after seven days of streaming and delayed viewing.
This performance represents a strong retention rate, as the episode kept about 83 percent of the 20.6 million viewers who watched the series premiere the previous week. Such numbers confirm Marshals as the most watched show, network or streaming, in cross-platform ratings for that week.
Within the top 20 shows for March 2-8 (excluding sports and specials), only one streaming series appeared: The Pitt, which tied for 14th place with 8.2 million viewers. Other new series premieres like Netflix’s Vladimir and Peacock’s Ted did not rank in the top 20.
Meanwhile, NBC’s Chicago franchise returned with a three-show crossover event after a few weeks off, significantly outperforming their season averages. Chicago Med and Chicago PD each garnered 10.3 million viewers, while Chicago Fire attracted 9.7 million viewers. Before this event, their season averages were 8.27 million (Med), 7.81 million (PD), and 8.58 million (Fire), showing a notable increase.
ABC’s new series R.J. Decker had a solid debut, drawing 8.1 million viewers across all platforms and ranking 16th for the week. The show Tracker finished second with 13.3 million viewers; however, its streaming data remains incomplete, so actual numbers could be higher. ABC’s High Potential secured third place with 12 million viewers.
For the week of March 2-8, CBS dominated the top 20 list with 11 series, while ABC had five and NBC three. The continued strong performance of Marshals underscores its popularity across both traditional and digital viewing platforms during this early March period.
