AceShowbiz - N.O.R.E. recently opened up about why he chose not to release a controversial segment from a past interview involving Quavo and Takeoff. The footage contained questions about rumors linking Offset to Saweetie, but N.O.R.E. explained he respected a certain code of conduct and decided against airing it.
During an appearance on The Jason Lee Show on April 15, 2026, N.O.R.E. addressed the situation directly. When asked about his issues with Offset, he revealed that he had asked a delicate question to a specific individual during the 2022 interview with Quavo and Takeoff, but Offset's associates were present at the time. He said, "Offset called me. And I might not have complied to his conversation when he wanted it."
N.O.R.E. further disclosed that Offset reached out to Diddy, mistakenly believing that Puff Daddy owned the Drink Champs podcast and could influence the situation. As a result, N.O.R.E. decided to remove the portion of the interview where he questioned Quavo about the rumors that Offset allegedly had a relationship with Saweetie, who is Quavo's ex. He emphasized that this decision was out of respect for the "man code" and confirmed that the clip will never be publicly released.
The rumors about Offset and Saweetie surfaced following the latter's breakup with Quavo in 2021. Speculation intensified when Quavo appeared to reference the situation on the 2022 track "Messy". On the song, Quavo raps, "I said, 'Caresha please' ’cause she too messy / B**ch f**ked my dawg behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’ / You wanted the gang, you shoulda just said it, we would have blessed it / Now sh*t got messy." This line was interpreted as a nod to Saweetie's appearance on Yung Miami's podcast, Caresha Please.
Despite the rumors and lyrical hints, Offset has publicly denied any such involvement with Saweetie.
