AceShowbiz - In a thrilling announcement during the "After the Final Rose" special for Grant Ellis' season of "The Bachelor," fans were treated to more than just the memorable engagement between Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa.

Host Jesse Palmer revealed that "Bachelor in Paradise" is back, and it's better than ever with a groundbreaking twist - the inclusion of "Golden" contestants. For the first time, "Bachelor in Paradise" will feature cast members from the "Golden" shows, specifically those aged 55 and up.

This exciting change was revealed when Leslie Fhima, the runner-up from Gerry Turner's inaugural season of "The Golden Bachelor," and Gary Levingston, a participant from Joan Vassos' debut season of "The Golden Bachelorette," joined Palmer on stage.

"For the first time ever, golden men and women will be hitting the beaches of paradise alongside all of your Bachelor and Bachelorette favorites from seasons past," Palmer enthused.

Leslie couldn't contain her excitement either, "The beach is my thing, so I'm very excited. And I'm so excited to be with my old friends, make new friends and just maybe find love."

Gary added his own anticipation, hinting at some beachside romance and relaxation, "A lot of dancing in the sand. But more so than that, laying out in the sun and just enjoying the moment and looking for love in all the right places."

This format change breathes new life into the spinoff series, which took an unexplained hiatus last year. While the announcement has generated much curiosity, the franchise remains coy about how the dynamic will play out with seemingly two different age groups on the same beach.
