Despite being one of the most glamorous couples in Hollywood, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have decided to miss the upcoming Met Gala amid a legal feud with Justin Baldoni.

AceShowbiz - Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, who have often graced the Met Gala's red carpet with their impeccable style and even served as co-chairs in the past, will not be attending this year's event on May 5, according to TMZ.

While their ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni, Lively's co-star in "It Ends With Us," has been making headlines, a source close to the couple claims their decision to skip the gala was made months ago and unrelated to the drama.

In fact, the couple hasn't attended the Met Gala since 2022, preferring to spend quality time with their children over the star-studded event.

Lively, once dubbed the "Queen of the Met Gala," served as a co-chair for the 2022 Gilded Glamour-themed ball along with Reynolds and wowed onlookers in an opulent Atelier Versace gown designed to pay homage to the Statue of Liberty. Even so, Lively and Reynolds skipped the 2023 and 2024 Met Galas as well.

Meanwhile, in the latest development of their legal battle with Baldoni, Lively and Reynolds have each filed a motion to have Baldoni's defamation lawsuit dismissed. Baldoni slammed the couple through his legal team. With legal moves and harsh words launched from both sides, their spat is far from over.

Despite the legal wranglings, Lively and Reynolds have continued to make public appearances. They were seen laughing off the drama at "Saturday Night Live" 50th anniversary special, and Lively has been promoting her latest film, "Another Simple Favor," with co-star Anna Kendrick.

This year's Met Gala theme is "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," focusing on menswear with creative interpretations. Co-chairs for the event include Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour with honorary chair LeBron James.
