AceShowbiz - Kanye West, who now goes by "Ye," has again fueled public outrage with a recent social media post. This time, his controversial actions may have pushed the boundaries too far, sparking a flurry of criticism and concern.
On Sunday morning, Ye uploaded a photo of a Ku Klux Klan robe with the caption "Outfit of the day," an action widely condemned by followers and critics alike.
The white robe, which features a pointed hood, is notoriously associated with the white supremacist group with a violent history of hate against Jews, Black people, Catholics, and Southern/Eastern European immigrants.
Immediately following his post, reactions from social media users were swift and filled with horror. On X (formerly Twitter), user @S2M0NEY coined the term "Ku Klux Kanye," while "@AltcoinGordon mocked the rapper, "You're dressing as a ghost because your career is dead?"
@PudgyWhal3 noted how the hip-hop artist was losing his fans, "Kanye fans running out of ways to defend him." Over on Instagram, @pkellss asked, "Someone hit ctrl + alt + delete and restart Kanye please," and @adriiq0 lamented, "I miss the old Kanye."
This is not Ye's first brush with controversy. In 2022, he made headlines by speaking openly about his disdain for Jewish people and expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler. Recently, he tweeted about his next album containing "that anti-Semitic sound."
His antics were not limited to anti-Jews remarks. He and his wife Bianca Censori previously shocked everyone on the red carpet of Grammy Awards, with Censori bared all in an "invisible" dress.
Ye's former girlfriend Amber Rose recently noted that Ye historically influenced the way his partners dress, claiming he pressured her to wear racy outfits and derived satisfaction from other men's admiration of his women.
Despite these controversies, Ye remains unfazed as he reveals on social media that his Sunday Service choir events will be making a comeback on March 16. This spiritual project initially started in 2019 and received some acclaim for its gospel music.
