The Mother Monster is a comedy queen as she pokes fun at her 'Joker' sequel flop and past 'Saturday Night Live' appearance, blending humor and talent seamlessly.

AceShowbiz - Lady Gaga took center stage as both host and musical guest on the March 8 episode of "Saturday Night Live". Gaga's four-minute opening monologue was a showcase of self-deprecating humor and biting wit, with the star addressing recent headlines and poking fun at herself.

The highly-anticipated "Joker" sequel, "Joker: Folie a Deux", in which Gaga plays Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix, was a recurring topic in her monologue.

"Anyway, I'm an actor now," she quipped. "I select films that would showcase my craft as a serious actor, films such as Joker 2. Apparently, people thought it was awesome. Joaquin [Phoenix] and I even got nominated for a Razzie, which is an award for the worst films of the year. So we won worst onscreen duo."

Gaga didn't shy away from the film's poor reception and underperformance at the box office, humorously embracing her Razzie Award. "But joke's on them. I love winning things. My Razzie brings me one step closer to an EGORT. It's like an EGOT, but it's hurtful," she said, referencing the prestigious honor of winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.

Besides her jabs at the "Joker" sequel, Gaga reflected on her last "SNL" appearance in 2013 where she performed a duet with R. Kelly. "I'm so happy to be back at SNL. The last time I hosted was in 2013 and every aspect of my performance aged amazingly," she joked. "So there's no need to Google SNL 2013, Lady Gaga featuring R. Kelly. I won't bring it up because that would be bad."

The episode also saw Gaga participating in several sketches that highlighted her comedic chops, including playing a mascara-promoting woman and a funeral home owner. Gaga ensured that her musical talents were not overlooked either, delivering high-energy performances of her new tracks "Abracadabra" and "Killah" from her latest album, "Mayhem".

Gaga's return to "SNL" was met with praise from both critics and fans for her ability to laugh at herself and deliver entertaining content. Her knack for blending humor with sincerity makes her a standout performer in both music and acting.

For those who missed the live airing, Gaga's "SNL" episode is currently streaming on Peacock, along with performances from the "SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert", where Gaga performed alongside other major artists. Her album, "Mayhem", is available for purchase and streaming now.
