AceShowbiz - Country star Carly Pearce faced an unexpected challenge midway through her concert at the O2 Academy in Birmingham. Performing an acoustic set due to feeling ill, Pearce didn't let her flu stop her from addressing a brawl that erupted among fans.
"We're all here to just have a good night, you know what I mean? We're all friends at my shows," Pearce, 34, stated from the stage in a video shared on TikTok by a fan.
The "We Don't Fight Anymore" singer continued, "Girl, I am sick, and I ain't got time for it, okay? I love you. I'm just saying. Please don't make everybody around you angry, okay?"
Despite her polite and professional request, the two fans continued their altercation, leading to their removal from the venue. Pearce waved them off from the stage as the crowd chanted her name, appreciating her composed approach. "Ain't nobody got time for that," she added, earning praise from fans for her handling of the situation.
A TikTok user who posted the clip applauded Pearce as "a pro." Others noted her efforts to check on the nearby concertgoers, ensuring they were unharmed.
"Carly was really poorly with flu so had to do a stripped back show," Corina Dennis, the TikTok user, shared with Storyful. "The crowd were behind her and were chanting her name. Once removed she checked on the people that were near the girls to see if they were ok. An absolute true professional."
Performing despite her illness, Pearce kept her promise to the audience. She explained that her flu would lead to adjustments but vowed to give everything she had.
"I promise you we are going to have a wonderful night, and I promise you that I'm going to give you literally everything I have," Pearce assured as she initiated the acoustic set. She expressed her fondness for this stripped-down style of performance, stating, "if I'm honest, it's probably my favorite way to play my music."
Pearce's ongoing Hummingbird World Tour supports her latest album, "Hummingbird." She will soon embark on the North American leg of her tour, visiting cities such as Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Houston, Dallas, Nashville, and San Antonio.
While on tour, Pearce also announced her upcoming deluxe album, "Hummingbird: No Rain, No Flowers," set to release on March 14. This 19-track project includes the title song, "No Rain," reflecting her healing journey after the album "29."
