AceShowbiz - Ben Affleck is moving forward with his life after he's officially declared legally single following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. A source close to the actor revealed to PEOPLE that he is "casually dating," but it's not a major priority for him.
Affleck's primary focus is on his work and his family. When not filming, he reportedly spends long hours at his office. Additionally, he remains deeply involved in the lives of his three children, Violet Anne, Seraphina Rose, and Samuel, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The source notes that Affleck and his youngest child, Samuel, share an especially close bond.
Since the split, Affleck has been dedicating significant time to his career. His upcoming film, "The Accountant 2," is set to premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on March 8 before hitting theaters on April 25. He also recently teased his action-packed Netflix thriller, "RIP," comparing it to a combination of "Heat," "Narc," and "Training Day."
On top of that, Affleck is expected to return behind lens as a director for another Netflix movie "Animals". Matt Damon was originally attached to the project but he had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey", prompting Affleck to step forward as a replacement. It means Affleck will pull a double duty as a director and lead star, just like he did when working on his 2012 Oscar-winning movie "Argo".
Jennifer Lopez is also busy with her own projects, recently releasing musical drama "Kiss of the Spider Woman". She will next star in Netflix romcom "Office Romance" which is scheduled to kick off production in March.
Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. She requested no spousal support and sought to legally restore her name to Jennifer Lynn Lopez. The former couple will split the proceeds from the sale of their Beverly Hills mansion, which remains on the market.
