AceShowbiz - In candid Instagram Stories, Bristol Palin bravely shares an update on her ongoing health struggle with Bell's palsy. The 34-year-old daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin detailed the challenges she has been facing since her diagnosis in January.
It's been over three weeks since the onset of her symptoms, and she admitted to seeing very little improvement. "Can't move the left side of my face at all. It's really hard to blink. I can't blow out a candle. My sisters make so much fun of me because I look crazy," she said.
The condition, which is characterized by temporary paralysis or weakness of the facial muscles, has pushed Bristol to make several lifestyle changes. She mentioned undergoing treatments such as acupuncture, massage, oxygen chamber therapy, and red light therapy. Additionally, she has been cutting out most of the processed foods and caffeine from her diet, except for her morning coffee.
Addressing her followers, Bristol emphasized the importance of managing stress in her journey toward healing. "Since this was onset by stress, I've been trying to eliminate anything that I can control that serves no purpose," she explained. She has been focusing on sticking to a routine and ensuring she gets sound sleep to aid in her recovery.
Bristol's decision to discuss her condition publicly stems from a desire to control the narrative and prevent any misconceptions. "I hate talking about the stuff on here. The only reason why I wanted to post about it was that so when people saw me in person, they didn't think that something crazy had happened so I could control at least that narrative - but everything is fine," she said.
Despite her discomfort in addressing the topic, Bristol hopes for a breakthrough in her healing process while continuing to prayerfully seek recovery. For now, Bristol remains focused on her health and well-being, navigating this challenging journey with resilience and determination.
