AceShowbiz - Ben Higgins, famous for his role as The Bachelor, officially embarks on a new chapter of his life as a father. On a heartfelt Instagram post, he announced that he and his wife Jessica Clarke welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby girl.

Higgins, 35, shared a photo of himself gazing at his daughter while Clarke cradled the newborn in a hospital bed. "Update and more to come, but baby girl Higgins has entered the world," he wrote.

"She is healthy. @jessclarke_ is doing so well. I don't yet have words for what just happened but the update right now is we have a daughter and Jess is recovering so well. The nurses and doctors who cared for us should be lifted high," he added.

Higgins humorously mentioned that God "spent a little more time" on their daughter's beauty, adding that her face would be revealed once she gets a bath.

The couple initially shared their pregnancy news in August 2024 through a joint Instagram post featuring moments from their relationship and a sonogram image. They have been open about their journey to parenthood, revealing that Clarke conceived through intrauterine insemination (IUI) after dealing with irregular ovulation.

"It took us one try of IUI, so when it comes to fertility journeys we got really, really lucky," Clarke explained on their podcast, "Almost Famous".

Higgins and Clarke's relationship history dates back to 2018. They got engaged in March 2020 and tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Tennessee in November 2021.

Despite his initial fears about becoming a girl dad, Higgins was excited for his new role. "I'm ready to be the guy that she leans on to talk to about boys, and I'm ready to be the example for who she desires in a relationship," he told PEOPLE.
