AceShowbiz - On a seemingly festive night at JBJ's Nashville, Jon Bon Jovi's Tennessee bar, the celebration quickly took an unexpected turn when guest performer Kid Rock threw tantrum. The 54-year-old musician made a surprise appearance to honor Bon Jovi's keyboardist David Bryan on his birthday.
Initially, Rock was welcomed with applause from the crowd as he joined Bryan on stage. However, the mood shifted when Kid Rock started performing Creedence Clearwater Revival's iconic song "Proud Mary." About a minute into the performance, Rock began clapping his hands and urged the audience to join him.
Unfortunately, the crowd's response was underwhelming, leading to an outburst from the musician. "No, f*** them! F*** them!" he yelled into the microphone. "If you ain't gonna clap, we ain't gonna sing! That's how it's gonna work!"
The crowd briefly complied, clapping along with Rock's demands. Yet, once the energy dwindled, Rock stopped the show and repeated his frustration. "You know what? F*** y'all. You ain't gonna clap? I'm gone!" he shouted before leaving the stage angrily.
The incident, captured in videos and shared across social media, left David Bryan and the other musicians onstage looking bewildered.
Despite the unexpected drama, Bryan appeared to have enjoyed his night overall. He later posted on Instagram, saying, "THANK YOU FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES! Rocking at @jbjsnash last night with @bigkennytv!"
Rock's representatives did not respond to requests for additional comments on the incident.
This isn't the first time Kid Rock has been embroiled in controversy. He faced backlash for performing a four-song set at President Donald Trump's Make America Great Again Victory Rally and then caused a stir by hitting on BBC reporter CaitrĂona Perry during an on-air interview.
With his heated temperament making headlines again, Kid Rock is set to hit the road this spring for his Rock the Country music festival in partnership with bands like Nickelback and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The night at JBJ Nashville proved that even seasoned performers are not immune to the unpredictability of live shows.
