Taylor Swift may face deposition in the legal battle between Blake Lively and her 'It Ends With Us' co-star and director Justin Baldoni after it's revealed she's present during one of the pivotal meetings between the two.

AceShowbiz - The ongoing legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni following the release of their film "It Ends With Us" has taken a sensational turn, with the potential deposition of megastar Taylor Swift looming large. This high-profile courtroom drama centers around allegations of defamation, hostile work environments, and severe emotional distress, with both parties throwing accusations at each other.

Swift, a close friend of Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, was present during a pivotal meeting that has become central to the case. The meeting, held at Lively's New York City penthouse, involved discussions over a rewritten rooftop scene in the film. According to Baldoni's recent filings, Lively attempted to wield her friendships with Swift and Reynolds as leverage during the negotiation.

Attorney Bryan Freedman, representing Baldoni, hinted on TMZ's "Two Angry Men" podcast that Swift might be summoned to provide testimony. "I don't know that we're going to depose Taylor Swift or not," Freeman stated. "I think that that's gonna be probably a game time decision… Anyone that reasonably has information that can provide evidence in this case is going to be deposed."

This public spat erupted in December 2024 when Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment on set. She subpoenaed numerous texts, emails, and documents, accusing Baldoni and his team of attempting to besmirch her reputation. Baldoni responded with a massive $400 million defamation countersuit, citing emotional distress and hostile work conditions perpetuated by Lively.

Freedman speculated that Lively and Reynolds might pursue extreme legal measures to keep Swift out of court. "My assumption is they're probably gonna take some legal actions that are beyond the bounds of decency," Freedman remarked.

If Swift does get deposed, it could expedite a settlement, as Freedman and legal experts believe neither side wants the global pop icon subjected to rigorous examination. Despite this swirling controversy, sources close to Swift have stated that her relationship with Lively remains strong, and she has yet to publicly comment on the legal proceedings.
