AceShowbiz - Kanye West has weighed in on the controversy surrounding his wife Bianca Censori's "invisible dress" at the Grammy Awards. Censori's outfit, which left her completely exposed on the red carpet, sparked widespread backlash and debate on social media.
Unfazed by the outcry, West posted on Instagram, "FOR CLARITY. MY WIFE IS THE MOST GOOGLED PERSON ON THE PLANET CALLED EARTH" and added "WE BEAT THE GRAMMIES," along with pictures of Google trends that put her name on top of hot search lists.
The rapper was also involved in a back-and-forth with photographer Chiara Glionna, who argued that it was an "easy win" for a man to display a woman without clothes on.
He retaliated by leaving a similar "easy win" comment on Glionna's post that featured a female model in her birthday suit. "This is my favorite part @xchiaraglionna Watch these comments get shut off quick," he wrote on his page.
Glionna doubled down on her criticism in her response, "And he is still not understanding the point of what I said … it's not all man but always one of them (sic)."
During his post-and-delete frenzy, Kanye additionally described the see-through dress as "custom couture."
Despite the controversy, Censori is not expected to face any legal consequences for her outfit. However, West may face a setback in his planned international concert deal in Tokyo as "investors" reportedly pulled out of his gig because they were appalled by his antics.
Despite coming to Grammys, Kanye West and Bianca Censori did not enter the venue, leaving quickly after posing on the red carpet. Rumors suggested they got booted by organizers, but he vehemently denied the reports and, instead, accused Don Lemon of spreading the false rumors. The former CNN anchor insisted he had nothing to do with them, firing back by dissing the rapper over his political affiliation.
Whether the couple left on their own or were kicked out, it didn't matter, sources claimed, because they were uninvited anyway and there were no seats for them inside the Crypto.com arena.
