AceShowbiz - In the latest development of the ongoing legal struggle between "It Ends With Us" co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, Bart Johnson, Lively's brother-in-law and "High School Musical" actor, has issued a public apology for making disparaging remarks about Baldoni.

Johnson previously made a post on X (formerly Twitter) in December 2024, seemingly targeting Baldoni without directly naming him. The post referenced a "man bun," a hairstyle Baldoni sported in the past, and described someone as a "fraud."

Johnson, who's married to Lively's sister Robyn, wrote in the deleted post, "He puts on the 'costume' of a hero, man bun and all. Used all of the trendy catchphrases & buzz words for his podcasts. None of it's genuine. It's all theater. And everyone fell for it. For years."

However, on January 28, Johnson issued a remorseful statement on X, regretting his earlier comments. He wrote,"Anytime I've said anything unkind about someone I've regretted it. Fortunately that's almost never and definitely not when I'm at my best."

"Regardless if it's true or not, if it's my opinion, even if I'm trying to speak truth or stand up for someone, it's never good. Even in times where it might 'feel' justified and doing the right thing, it makes no difference. There's a better way. It's below the standard I have for myself and I regret it."

In his apology, Johnson emphasized his commitment to positivity, writing, "If you follow me you know you'll be hard-pressed to find more than 1 time I've criticized anyone on social. It's not my jam... We all have flaws and I'm definitely a work in progress and doing my best to grow and be better."

New York judge has set March 9, 2026, for the trial concerning Lively's accusations against Baldoni. Both parties threw accusations at each other and released "evidence" that put the opposite team in a negative light. Baldoni released a behind-the-scene video from the set to disapprove claims of unwanted touching. Soon afterwards, a voice recording of his profusely apologizing to Lively over their disagreement leaked.

Blake Lively's lawsuit against Baldoni includes claims of sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign against her. Responding to the accusations, Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist for defamation.
