AceShowbiz - After just ten days since the release of "SOS Deluxe: Lana", Grammy-nominated artist SZA revealed plans to revamp the project with new mixes and additional songs, set to be released on January 6, 2025.
Despite the album's initial success, topping the Billboard 200 Chart, SZA expressed her dissatisfaction with certain aspects of the project. In a tweet, she announced the upcoming changes, stating that label delays during the holiday season prevented an earlier release.
"After listening with a clear mind, I'm switching some mixes out when I add stuff on Christmas," SZA previously tweeted. "This means nothing to you but had to say it for me."
SZA has also teased three unreleased tracks for the updated version, "Take You Down", "PSA" and "Open Arms". These songs were initially discussed in a text message conversation with her now-former manager, Terrence "Punch" Henderson.
The re-release of Lana will mark the beginning of an exciting year for SZA. She is scheduled to embark on the "Grand National Tour" with Kendrick Lamar, which begins in April 2025. Additionally, she will make her acting debut in the buddy comedy "One of Them Days" alongside Keke Palmer.
Despite her success, SZA has faced some professional setbacks. She recently announced her split from Top Dawg Entertainment president "Punch," stating that he had abruptly stepped away from their working relationship. However, "Punch" has since reaffirmed his managerial position with SZA in his Twitter bio.
