AceShowbiz - Months before Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against her "It Ends With Us" co-star and director Justin Baldoni for alleged misconduct and smear campaign, Ryan Reynolds reportedly blocked Baldoni on Instagram.
According to Page Six, Baldoni freaked out when he found out and expressed concern in a May text to his publicist that Lively might follow suit, stating, "We should have a plan for IF she does the same when [the] movie comes out." He added, "Just want you guys to have a plan. Plans make me feel more at ease."
Despite Reynolds' move and escalating situation that led to Lively's lawsuit, Baldoni still follows Lively on Instagram. However, Reynolds and Baldoni do not follow each other.
Lively's complaint alleges that Baldoni's misconduct on the set of "It Ends with Us" led to a meeting where producers addressed her concerns. Evidence includes private texts and emails allegedly showing Baldoni's crisis PR representatives planning to "change the narrative" around Lively's accusations.
In one text exchange, Baldoni proposed using Hailey Bieber as a model for a PR takedown of Lively, citing her past allegations of bullying. He suggested focusing on platforms like Reddit, TikTok, and Instagram to discredit Lively's character.
The lawsuit casts further doubt on Baldoni's denials of creating a hostile work environment. It remains to be seen how the ongoing investigation will impact the reputations of those involved.
