Actress Katie Holmes celebrated her 46th birthday with heartwarming surprises from her daughter and fellow actors backstage in her Broadway production 'Our Town'.

AceShowbiz - Katie Holmes's 46th birthday celebration was made special by her daughter, Suri Cruise, who traveled all the way from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh to surprise her backstage at the Barrymore Theatre in Midtown Manhattan. The 18-year-old freshman serenaded her mother with "Happy Birthday" alongside the cast and crew, holding up an old Robert Redford headshot with "Happy B-day Katie!" written on it. Holmes shared the touching moment with her 2.9 million Instagram followers.

Suri has previously lent her musical talents to her mother's films, singing covers for "Alone Together" (2022) and "Rare Objects" (2023). Katie praised her daughter's talent, stating, "She's very talented. She said she would do it and recorded it. I let her do her thing."

Holmes also expressed her gratitude for the homemade red velvet cake, French fries, and falafel prepared by her co-star Bobby Daye. The actress wrote on Instagram, "I am so grateful for all of my blessings especially my daughter."

Suri's visit was particularly special as she studies fashion at Carnegie Mellon and has a busy schedule. Katie, who is an empty nester this fall, reflected on her daughter's journey into adulthood, saying, "I'm proud of my daughter. Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I'm really proud of her and I'm happy."
