AceShowbiz - While Jessica Simpson's sister, Ashlee, recently denied rumors of a divorce, Eric Johnson (II) has been captured several times without his wedding ring, including in recent photos with his parents in Los Angeles. Some social media outlets have attempted to contact representatives for both Jessica and Eric, but they have not received a response.
Speculation about a rift between the couple began after Jessica was also noticed without her wedding ring in public and in her recent Instagram posts. Johnson, who is believed to be a stay-at-home dad to their three children, has spent significant time in Los Angeles, while Jessica has been balancing her music career between Los Angeles and Nashville.
Sources have told PEOPLE that the couple "very much live separate lives" and "spend all of their time" in different cities. Jessica's last Instagram post featuring Johnson was in September 2023, while Johnson was seen wearing his wedding band as recently as June 2023.
