Actor and model Chris Zylka, best known for his role in HBO's 'The Leftovers,' was arrested following a violent encounter with police amid an alleged attempted carjacking in Ohio.

AceShowbiz - Chris Zylka, 39, the former fiancé of heiress Paris Hilton, found himself in the midst of a chaotic and bloody episode with the Warren Police Department in Ohio. The incident unfolded on December 4, near Cleveland, after police were called to the scene following reports of a man in pajama pants with no shirt or shoes attempting to enter a vehicle with a gun. According to local station WKBN, Zylka was identified as the man in question.

When the police arrived, they found Zylka causing a standstill in traffic, pushing at a car, and foaming at the mouth. He was also reported to be under the influence of drugs. The ex of Paris Hilton allegedly tried to break into a woman's car by attempting to smash the window and pointed a cellphone at two detectives as if it were a weapon.

Bodycam footage reveals a dramatic confrontation where Zylka initially resisted arrest. Officers described him as incoherent and combative. During the scuffle, an officer mistakenly tased one of the detectives instead of Zylka. Subsequently, the tased detective used his taser on Zylka twice without much effect. It was only when a third detective intervened that Zylka was subdued and finally handcuffed.

The actor, known for his roles in "Everybody Hates Chris," "Hannah Montana," "The Amazing Spider-Man," and "Shark Night," was subsequently placed in an ambulance by paramedics while bleeding. Reports indicate that Zylka had to be given ketamine to calm him down during the process. Now, he faces multiple charges including felony assault, attempted carjacking, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and aggravated menacing.

A spokesperson for the Warren Police Department confirmed to TMZ that Zylka is no longer in custody and there is now a warrant out for his arrest.

Zylka and Hilton were engaged in January 2018 before calling off their engagement later that year. Despite their split, Zylka has publicly spoken highly of Hilton, reflecting on their relationship fondly and expressing regret for not being more appreciative. He admitted, "She's the one relationship that I've ever had that there was no take, it was all give."

As the situation stands, Zylka's legal troubles have placed him in a tumultuous spotlight, contrasting sharply with his past successes in the entertainment industry and previous high-profile relationship with Paris Hilton.
