AceShowbiz - Nancy Meyers, the 75-year-old writer and director of "The Holiday", and 51-year-old actor Jude Law reunited on Thursday, December 12, following Law's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. The film, released in 2006, stars Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz as women who swap homes during Christmas. Law portrays Winslet's widowed brother, who falls for Diaz's character, while Jack Black plays a film composer who pines for Winslet.
Meyers posted an Instagram video of the reunion, saying, "Congrats Jude! I was thrilled to be at a lunch for Jude today and had one question for him...." In the video, Meyers is heard saying, "Look who I'm having lunch with today. Jude Law! Congratulations on your so well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame."
Meyers then asked Law about the possibility of a sequel to "The Holiday". Law responded playfully by donning a napkin and glasses on his head, reminiscent of his "Mr. Napkin Head" character in the film.
Fans eagerly responded to the video, expressing their hopes for a sequel. "This is not the time of year to be messing around with our hearts, Nancy!" one fan wrote. "For the love of god, please give us a sequel," urged another.
While no official announcement has been made, Law previously expressed enthusiasm for a follow-up project. "I love the idea," he told E! News. "Why not?"
Law's current projects include the Disney+'s "Star Wars" series "Skeleton Crew", with new episodes released on Tuesdays.
