AceShowbiz - "Saturday Night Live" poked fun at the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic, "A Complete Unknown," with a sketch featuring appearances from Bruce Springsteen, Bono, and the lead star of the film, Timothee Chalamet.
In a sketch portraying the red-carpet premiere of the highly anticipated film, a fictional Buzzfeed reporter interviewed Chalamet impersonated by "SNL" star Chloe Fineman. Fineman joked about Chalamet's involvement in the "Brat Summer" trend, a reference to the Charli XCX-inspired viral phenomenon.
As Fineman embraced his role, the reporter then grilled Bob Dylan, played by James Austin Johnson, and asked if he had also experienced a "Brat Summer."
The sketch took a comical turn with the arrival of Bruce Springsteen (Andrew Dismukes). Referencing his hit song "Born to Run," Springsteen sang, "Baby I was born to watch this movie."
Springsteen's witty remarks continued when he was quizzed about his favorite Chalamet film. With a nod to his upbringing, he quipped, "I like that 'Wonka' picture. Pops came home drunk. Mama ran off with an Oompa Loompa."
The sketch's star-studded cast also included Bono portrayed by the host, Paul Mescal. Referring to U2's charity works on climate change, he passionately responded to the "Brat Summer" question by citing the effects of global warming.
