Chris Brown's "Residuals" has topped Billboard's Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, marking his 20th No. 1 hit on the list. The song dethroned GloRilla's "TGIF" after a 10-week reign. Brown now matches Lil Wayne's career total for the second-most No. 1s on the chart since its inception in 1992, second only to Drake's 46 leaders.
On the Rhythmic Airplay chart, "Residuals" also takes the top spot, giving Brown his 14th No. 1. He surpasses Bruno Mars, The Weeknd and Usher, who each have 13 chart-toppers, and now trails only Drake (39) and Rihanna (17) for the most No. 1s on Rhythmic Airplay.
The success of "Residuals" on both charts highlights the fan-led engagement that has fueled its popularity. The track gained traction on social media, particularly on TikTok, before it received official radio airplay. Its strong streaming and sales performance also contributed to its chart success.
Elsewhere, "Residuals" holds at No. 2 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, up 6% in audience. It also climbs to No. 15 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart, thanks to a 9% increase in plays. On the all-genre Radio Songs chart, the song advances to No. 25, up 10% in audience.
