The 98th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, featuring 17 character balloons, 22 floats and more, has drawn its largest audience ever, with 31.3 million viewers tuning in across NBC and Peacock.

AceShowbiz - The 98th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade amassed 31.3M viewers across linear and digital platforms on Thanksgiving Day, marking a 10% increase from last year's 28.5M, according to NBCUniversal. About 24M tuned in on NBC alone during the live telecast from 8:30 a.m. to 12 P.M. ET, making it the most-watched entertainment show on linear television since the 2020 Academy Awards on ABC. Streaming hours on Peacock also grew by 26% compared to last year's parade.
In the 18-49 demo, the live broadcast scored a 5.4 rating, making it the highest-rated telecast since ABC's "New Year's Rocking Eve" in 2021.
"The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is an event in which we take enormous pride, and it's an absolute joy to know that there was a record number of people watching across both NBC and Peacock," said Jen Neal, Executive Vice President, Live Events and Specials, NBCU Entertainment.
The parade featured 17 character balloons, 22 floats, 15 heritage and novelty balloons, 11 marching bands, and performances from a selection of music stars, including Jennifer Hudson, Kylie Minogue, Billy Porter, Loud Luxury, Cynthia Erivo and Cole Escola.
Other programs also saw strong viewership on Thanksgiving Day, including NBC's broadcast of the National Dog Show (12.2 million viewers), Fox's NFL game between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants (38.5 million viewers), and NBC's NFL game between the Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins (26.6 million viewers).
