AceShowbiz - Seven-time Super Bowl champion and current Fox NFL analyst Tom Brady faced a bittersweet Thanksgiving holiday this year. While his former wife, Gisele Bundchen, took their two children, Benjamin (14) and Vivian (11), to Costa Rica for the holiday, Brady spent the day in the broadcast booth calling the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants game.
Despite not being with his children on Thanksgiving, Brady expressed his gratitude on Instagram, posting a picture of his three kids with the caption, "Thankful for this crew. Happy Thanksgiving." Brady acknowledged that this was the first time in two years that he would not celebrate Thanksgiving with his ex-wife and children.
As part of his arrangement with Bundchen, Brady supported her decision to take the children on a vacation. However, the former Patriots star will have ample opportunities to spend time with his kids during the holiday season.
Brady's absence from his children's Thanksgiving celebration stems from his NFL broadcasting commitments. The 47-year-old signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports in 2022 to serve as their lead analyst.
Despite some criticism for his lack of TV experience, Fox executives remain patient with Brady and believe he will continue to improve. They have advised him to focus more on the on-field action and provide insightful commentary rather than dwelling on intangibles.
While Brady faced a temporary separation from his children on Thanksgiving, he remains committed to his role as a father. He shared his parenting experiences during a recent speaking engagement, acknowledging the challenges of being a parent and the influence his own upbringing had on his parenting style.
