AceShowbiz - Following months of anticipation, the third annual iteration of Besame Mucho in Los Angeles has been canceled, as confirmed by the festival on November 25th. The one-day event, originally scheduled to take place at Dodger Stadium on December 21st, featured a stellar lineup headlined by Shakira, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias and Los Tigres del Norte.

The news comes shortly after headliner Shakira announced her U.S. arena tour upgrade to stadiums and the rescheduling of dates to next year. According to an official statement from Besame Mucho, the cancellation was due to "circumstances beyond our control." The organizers expressed their disappointment and pride in the festival's celebration of music and culture.

Despite the cancellation in Los Angeles, Besame Mucho confirmed that its event in Austin, Texas, scheduled for April 5th, will still proceed as planned. The Austin lineup includes notable acts such as Carin Leon, Peso Pluma, Banda MS, Pepe Aguilar, and Tito Double P.

Bésame Mucho debuted in 2022 with a sold-out event featuring a diverse lineup of Latin pop, rock, banda, norteno, cumbia, and merengue artists. The festival gained immense popularity, expanding to Austin last year.

Ticketholders for the canceled Los Angeles event will receive automatic refunds within 30 days.
