The incident occurred while Khalifa was performing his hit song "Black and Yellow". A concertgoer began showering the stage with dollar bills, prompting Khalifa to address the audience.

"I wanna show love to everybody in here," Khalifa began, "but there's one person that I need to talk to." He then singled out the fan and asserted, "Stop throwing money on the stage. I'm not no stripper dawg. Stop throwing money on the stage."

The camera panned to the fan, who nodded in agreement. Khalifa continued, "Keep your money. It's your money." He then requested that the club employees collect the money from the floor and return it to the fan. "Give it back to him.
