AceShowbiz - Andy Cohen, the executive producer behind the "Housewives" franchise, recently shared his thoughts on Teddi Mellencamp's potential reality TV return. During Bravo Fan Fest's "Ask Andy" panel on Saturday, November 23, Cohen was asked whether Mellencamp might rejoin "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" or feature on "The Real Housewives of Orange County".
The fan's question was met with lukewarm enthusiasm by the audience, prompting Cohen to remark, "It doesn't seem like the crowd is that enthusiastic." He added, "I don't know why she has become such a villain in the audience's perspective. She seems to be a truth teller and she's very smart, I think. But I don't know."
Cohen also clarified, "We just started 'Beverly Hills'," referencing the show's recent season 14 premiere, indicating that casting conversations for the next season aren't currently on the table. As for "RHOC", he mentioned, "I think we're good right now for 'OC'," following the explosive three-part reunion that capped off season 18.
Despite her uncertain TV future, Teddi Mellencamp has been a focal point of public attention following her split from husband Edwin Arroyave. The former couple announced their separation on November 2 after 13 years of marriage. Arroyave, who has requested joint legal and physical custody of their three children, also demanded that their prenup be enforced. As fans were still reeling from the divorce news, reports surfaced about Mellencamp's supposed affair with her horse trainer Simon Schroeder. An inside source confirmed that Mellencamp "had a thing several months ago" with Schroeder, although it's no longer ongoing.
Adding complexity to their separation, sources revealed that both Mellencamp and Arroyave had their share of indiscretions. "Teddi and Edwin had been working on the problems of their marriage, despite his past indiscretions," stated a source. Another insider claimed that while Arroyave had been unfaithful eight years ago, he has since remained committed to his family and faith, focusing on their children's well-being.
On her "Two Ts in a Pod" podcast on November 14, Mellencamp addressed the rumors, saying, "There's multiple sides to every story. I'm not going to confirm or deny anything." Meanwhile, her friends from the "Housewives" franchise have expressed their support. Kyle Richards shared her sadness over the split, saying, "I see two people that I know once really loved each other very much ... and have this beautiful family." Erika Jayne and Tamra Judge echoed similar sentiments, wishing Teddi and Edwin well despite their complicated circumstances.
For now, it seems the question of Teddi Mellencamp's reality TV future remains unanswered. As she continues to navigate her personal challenges, fans will have to wait and see whether she makes a return to the small screen.
