AceShowbiz - Debbie Matenopoulos is eyeing to join "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills". The former co-host of "The View" told Page Six Radio that she's in talks for Season 15.

"Yes, I am currently talking to them," Matenopoulos dished on. "So when I mean currently, I mean like, currently. Like, last week."

The 50-year-old journalist has significant reality TV experience, having started her career as an original co-host of "The View" at just 22. Matenopoulos acknowledged that being in the public eye from such a young age was challenging, but believes her current life experience could help her control the narrative better this time.

She said, "I started with inviting the world into my life when I didn't even know what my life was, so it was very difficult... Now that I have more life experience, I 'could control the narrative a lot better.' "

Debbie gushed about the idea of spending time with the women of "RHOBH," saying, "I think it would be super fun, and I know a lot of those women."

She mentioned that she is friends with several cast members, including Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, and Dorit Kemsley. Despite these connections, she has her reservations due to the show's oftentimes confrontational nature, stating, "I said to them, 'I'm not a fighter, you guys. I'm not a fighter.' "

Matenopoulos sees herself more as a potential "peacekeeper" within the group, suggesting she could use her journalism skills to navigate conflicts. "I would like that," she shared. "I would feel like I've served my purpose on the show if I did something like that. I mean, I feel like I could help them."

Her contemplation comes in the wake of Garcelle Beauvais' recent departure from the show. Beauvais, who had been with the show since 2020, announced last month that she would be stepping away to focus on her family and other exciting projects.

"I've decided to leave 'Beverly Hills,' " Beauvais, 58, said in an Instagram video after wrapping up filming for reunion episode which ended with her emotional exit. "It's been a wild ride... but it's been a ride nevertheless."

As fans eagerly await official casting announcements, Debbie Matenopoulos' potential addition to the "RHOBH" cast promises a mix of fresh perspectives and familiar faces, potentially making Season 15 one to remember.
