AceShowbiz - Brie Larson, the 35-year-old Marvel star, has debuted a new look on Instagram, trading her long blonde hair bold with new pixie cut with baby bangs. The transformation was made for her upcoming West End debut as Elektra.

Besides chopping off her tresses, the "Captain Marvel" actress also appears to have dyed her signature blonde tresses to a darker brunette hue. "Elektra is here," she wrote in the caption.

Based on Greek mythology, "Elektra", directed by Tony nominee Daniel Fish and translated by Anne Carson, follows the titular character in the days after her father's assassination. She plans to avenge his death alongside her long-lost brother Orestes.

The play will have a pre-run at the Theatre Royal Brighton from January 13-18, 2025 before moving to London's Duke of York's Theatre for previews starting January 24. Opening night is set for February 5, and the run will continue until April 12, 2025. Joining Larson in the production are Stockard Channing, Marième Diouf, Greg Hicks, and Patrick Vaill.

Fans have praised Larson's new hairstyle although some have questioned whether it is a wig.
