The Oscar winner captivates at the Emmy FYC event in a chic 1950s-inspired outfit, discussing the success of 'Lessons in Chemistry' and the possibility of a second season.

AceShowbiz - Brie Larson stole the spotlight at the Emmy FYC event for her hit drama "Lessons in Chemistry" on Sunday, June 9. The Oscar-winner, 34, looked incredible in a chic 1950s-inspired combo as she arrived at the glitzy event in Los Angeles. The star radiated charm in a bright blue, short-sleeve sweater and long black skirt, accentuated by a single gold chain.

Adapted from the bestselling novel, "Lessons In Chemistry" transports viewers to early 1950s America, delving into the journey of Elizabeth Zott (portrayed by Larson). As she grapples with pregnancy, isolation, and dismissal from her laboratory position, Elizabeth takes an unexpected turn, embracing a role as a television cooking show host.

During the panel discussion at Deadline's Contenders TV event, showrunner Lee Eisenberg expressed satisfaction with the show's conclusion and said there were no plans for a second season. Brie Larson echoed this sentiment, stating that the story had been completed.

Larson spoke about the challenges of mastering the language of chemistry and conveying it on screen in layman's terms. She emphasized the importance of balancing scientific accuracy with accessibility for the audience.

Regarding her character, Larson initially found it difficult to relate to Elizabeth but subsequently realized the similarities in their creative processes. She expressed immense joy in portraying Elizabeth and her desire for the character's journey to continue.

Despite her success, Larson has previously faced criticism that her physical appearance has hindered her acting career. In March, she told InStyle that she had been told she was "too pretty" for certain roles.
