The iconic actor and artist known for his role as Rocky Balboa has sold one of his original painting for a substantial amount at a charity auction in the Sin City.

AceShowbiz - Sylvester Stallone, known for his legendary roles in action films, has other hidden artistry - painting. At a recent charity auction held at The Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, the 78-year-old star sold his original painting, "Knocking Heads," for a staggering $410,000.

The artwork, a vibrant and abstract canvas inspired by street graffiti and cubism, features an iconic depiction of Stallone as his beloved character Rocky Balboa amidst other abstract faces. The painting also bears the inscription "Still fighting - 12/21/18."

Funds raised from the sale will be donated to AIDS research through the amfAR foundation. Stallone has previously revealed that he began painting at the young age of nine to combat boredom.

In his own words, Stallone describes the therapeutic benefits of painting, "It goes beyond words - it's ineffable." He credits painting with inspiring his iconic Rocky characters and enhancing his writing process.

Stallone's unique perspective on art stems from his belief in expressing the "stuff banging around" in one's head. He sees painting as a way to translate inspiration and ideas into tangible form.

"Painting stumbled into my life during an idle time. I was bored, and knew that I was wasting my creativity. I needed a change, and I found it on an empty canvas," he explained in an Instagram post. "If you’re bored, find an outlet. Start creating. Keep punching."

"Knocking Heads" represents Stallone's return to painting after a hiatus. The actor sees art as a powerful medium for storytelling and a source of inspiration for his acting and writing endeavors.
