AceShowbiz - Gwyneth Paltrow sent shockwaves on the internet and beyond after photos of her and Timothee Chalamet smooching while filming their new movie, "Marty Supreme", came to light. During Paltrow's November 21 appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", the host pulled out photos of the costars locking lips while they filmed in New York City in October.

"Yeah, that was bad," the actress, 52, said, as Fallon, 50, displayed one of the photos. "It's just like, you're trying to have this scene and you know it's a private moment, and then there are paparazzi," Paltrow added, when asked if she received a barrage of messages when the photos went public. "All my mom group texts were like, 'Oh my God!' They were on fire."

It was first reported in August that Paltrow was joining Chalamet, 28, in "Marty Supreme". She last appeared on the big screen in 2019's "Avengers: Endgame". Paltrow told Fallon that her brother Jake, 49, convinced her to take a role in "Marty Supreme" because he admires director Josh Safdie, known best for co-directing 2017's "Good Time" and 2019's "Uncut Gems" with his brother Benny Safdie.

"Actually it was my brother, because I've sort of not done a lot of films recently and I've been focused on my business and Goop and this movie came up," she said. "My brother, who's a filmmaker, was like 'this is a great director and you should meet with him,' and I did, and he was so nice. And when Apple found out Timothée Chalamet was in it, that sealed the deal."

Chalamet's soaring popularity following the success of "Wonka" and "Dune: Part Two" has made him a household name. This rising fame only added more excitement to the filming process.

Paltrow previously spoke to working with Chalamet during a November 1 appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show", where she called Chalamet "such a wonderful young man. Really, he's very polite, very talented, just so nice to be with," she said. "I'm really having a good time with him."

This isn't the only buzz around Chalamet, as even more noteworthy was the recent Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest held in New York City last month, featuring many curly-haired men competing for a $50 cash prize. The event got so raucous that the police intervened, especially after Chalamet himself showed up for photos.

Chalamet will next be seen on the big screen in the Bob Dylan biopic "A Complete Unknown", which opens on Christmas and is anticipated to be his best chance at a second Oscar nomination.

Paltrow, on the other hand, has been candid about her mixed emotions as a now-empty nester, joking on Fallon, "They abandoned me. They all went to college." However, she also expressed pride in her kids' independence, stating, "They're happy and great, which is just what you want. But it's lonely."
