AceShowbiz - Hailey Bieber has sparked chatter with her recent statement. After slamming Billboard over husband Justin Bieber's rank in the Greatest Pop Stars list, the model, formerly known as Hailey Baldwin, was trolled by many social media users.
On Thursday, November 21, the entrepreneur made use of her social media page to share her reaction to Billboard's Greatest Pop Stars of the 21st Century. In the comments section of an Instagram post, she wrote, "Billboard is a f**king joke as per usual!" adding a smooch emoji.
Hailey was responding to Billboard announcing her husband Justin as the 8th greatest pop star of the 21st century. The Canadian pop star competed against many fellow artists, including his mentor Usher and rapper Kanye West. While the R&B icon occupies No. 11, the spitter is at No. 7.
As for fellow Canadian artist Drake, he was revealed as the 4th greatest pop star of the 21st century. No. 3, 5 and 6 are occupied by female singers Rihanna, Lady GaGa and Britney Spears respectively. In the meantime, the first and second positions are yet to be revealed.
Upon learning of Hailey's reaction to the list, social media users blasted the Rhode founder. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one in particular wrote, "she can't be serious??? is 8th not high enough?? i mean we all knew we wouldn't be #1... there's many great artists. hailey bieber is the f**king joke here!"
Similarly, another penned, "To be in the 8th position amongst a lot of other great artists is a highest honour to achieve in that age and with that kind of discography, career is actually really good. What is she thinking about? 8 is already high enough for him, at least."
Others, meanwhile, came to Hailey's defense, suggesting that Justin deserves to be placed higher than No. 8. One of them stated, "y'all are ridiculous to think he shouldn't at least be top 5, let's stop being delusional for a second." Another simply replied, "He should be at least in top 5."
