AceShowbiz - Dave Coulier, 65, has disclosed his diagnosis of stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma and shared the invaluable role his wife has played in his fight. Melissa Bring, a wellness instructor, has implemented a comprehensive nutrition plan for Coulier.
"She has put together a whole nutrition plan for me," Coulier told PEOPLE. "My refrigerator is color-coded with nutritious foods and protein." Melissa has also eliminated all sugar from his diet.
Melissa's support extends beyond nutrition. She has established her own holistic wellness company, Live Well Lead Well, which provides Coulier with a wider range of support options. "We're focusing on fueling his body with real whole foods, cutting out refined sugar and processed foods, spending time in nature, and incorporating infrared saunas, breathwork, and massages," she explained.
The couple's journey began when Coulier noticed swelling in his lymph nodes. After biopsies and scans, he received the life-changing diagnosis. "I went from having a cold to having cancer," he recalled. "It was pretty overwhelming."
Melissa has remained steadfastly by her husband's side, providing emotional and practical support. "Dave's resilience inspires me every day," she wrote on Instagram. "Together, we're doing everything to support his recovery."
Amid the challenges, Coulier finds solace in the support of his family and friends. He is particularly excited about becoming a first-time grandfather with the arrival of his son Luc's child in March. "I've got to teach him how to play hockey," he said. "There's a lot to look forward to."
