AceShowbiz - Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles has been named as one of the newest athletes to be featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2025. The announcement comes as Sports Illustrated kicks off the shoot season for the upcoming issue with an exceptional lineup of female stars.
Chiles made her Olympic debut at the Tokyo Games in 2020 and helped the U.S. women's gymnastics team earn a gold medal at the Paris Games 2024. Additionally, she is an all-around Winter Cup and Pan American Games champion, and has won two individual NCAA titles with UCLA.
In her Sports Illustrated photoshoot, which took place in Boca Raton, Florida, the 23-year-old Olympian showcased her toned figure in a vibrant turquoise cutout one-piece. The athlete's long hair flows in the breeze, revealing her smattering of tattoos.
The magazine's editor-in-chief, MJ Day, expressed excitement about the lineup, stating, "This remarkable group, featuring Olympic medalists, world champions, and record holders, embodies the next generation of all-stars poised to transform the world of sports."
Chiles, who is known for speaking out on issues of equality and justice, reflected on a controversy at the Tokyo Games, where she was stripped of her bronze medal for the floor routine. "It's honestly been a very, very difficult time," she said. "I'm ready to speak on my truth."
Chiles will join a group of exceptional female athletes in the 2025 issue, including pro surfer Caroline Marks, Olympic gymnast Suni Lee, Olympic track and field star Gabby Thomas, and Olympic freestyle skiier Eileen Gu. The athletes aim to inspire young girls to envision themselves as both athletes and leaders by defying stereotypes and promoting body positivity.
