AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez has been dragged over Benny Blanco's recent feature in a magazine. The "Only Murders in the Building" star was accused of paying for her boyfriend's feature in PEOPLE Magazine's 2024 Sexiest Man Alive Issue.
On Monday, November 11, Benny, who has been in a romantic relationship with the songstress since 2023, became a hot topic on X (formerly known as Twitter) after he was dubbed the "sexiest man alive" by the magazine. Many social media users appeared shocked by the feature.
One in particular alleged that Selena made it possible, writing, "Selena paid for this," adding a crying face emoji. It did not take long for the particular tweet to receive more than 7,000 likes. Similarly, another chimed in, "I was just about to tweet that LOL."
Meanwhile, some users expressed their confusion about the magazine choosing Benny. One of them asked, "First the election and now THIS S**T???" Another stressed, "this has to be a joke right..? RIGHT?????" A third, in the meantime, sarcastically penned, "it's not opposite day cmon." A fourth blatantly stated, "babe i think they meant 'ugliest'."
The unpleasant comments came shortly after PEOPLE Magazine published its 2024 Sexiest Man Alive Issue featuring Benny. In one of the videos, it could be seen that the 36-year-old record producer was enjoying a relaxing pool day. He was documented lying down on a lounging chair, which was placed on the side of an outdoor swimming pool.
While soaking up the sun, Benny treated himself to a glass of cold drink. The songwriter, who flaunted his iconic curly hair, was sporting an all-white ensemble, including a short-sleeved white shirt that came with colorful embroideries all over it. He completed the look with a pair of matching shorts, brown shoes and a stack of bracelets.
A photo, on the other hand, captured Benny striking a pose in a luxury kitchen. He looked relaxed while lying down on a table, on which a big plate of food was placed. For this particular snap, he wore a black suit and a pair of matching trousers, both of which featured sparkling details. He accessorized himself with bracelets as he went barefoot.
