Disappointed Democratic supporters take to social media to chastise the 'Gravity' actor over his role in the 2024 election results, slamming him for demanding that Joe Biden quit the race.

AceShowbiz - Disappointed Democratic supporters have channeled their anger to George Clooney following the 2024 election results. Fans blamed the Hollywood star for Donald Trump's victory, slamming him for demanding that Joe Biden quit the race ahead of the election.
After it became apparent that Trump won the election, social media users reminded the actor/director of their role in the election results. A veteran-led, political commentator group called altNOAA penned on X, formerly known as Twitter, "Someone bring me George Clooney. We need to have a...talk."
A second user wrote, "I blame George Clooney he said no more money... and now look..." A third added, "Since I'm in a deep depression and feel like lashing out at someone, what's the plan now George Clooney?" Another simply claimed, "It's all George Clooney's fault!"
Journalist Joshua Hartley uploaded a screenshot of Clooney's op-ed piece and said, "Thank you George Clooney." Another user wrote, "Trump should not forget to thank the Hollywood celebrities. Especially George Clooney."
A fan of Trump also referenced to the actor, and wrote, "It's just occurred to me, we have failed to acknowledge George Clooney's roll in this victory!" Someone else said, "What did George Clooney change his mind!!" possibly referencing to the actor's silence on social media following Trump's win.
Back in July, Clooney wrote an op-ed for the New York Times where he demanded Biden to drop out of the presidential race amid concerns about his age and health. "The Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe 'big f**king deal' Biden of 2010," he wrote. "He wasn't even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate."
After Biden officially announced his withdrawal on July 21 and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, Clooney quickly endorsed Harris and praised Biden's selflessness. "President Biden has shown what true leadership is," he said. "He's saving democracy once again. We're all so excited to do whatever we can to support Vice President Harris in her historic quest."
