AceShowbiz - Following the season finale of "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol", a new teaser has emerged, providing a glimpse of Daryl and Carol's upcoming journey in Spain. During Sunday's finale, the reunited pair was left heading for London through a tunnel. However, a new teaser (see below) reveals their unexpected detour.
The teaser debuts with Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) expressing their determination to continue their journey home, despite the challenges ahead. Production for the already renewed third season is currently underway in Spain, specifically in the regions of Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia, and Valencia.
Season three's logline states, "Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier continue their journey to return home and to the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions."
Showrunner David Zabel commented on the significance of the location change: "The characters should not settle down. It should be a road show. They have to keep moving [to return home]." He added that the new culture and different settings will "be so exciting for reinventing the show."
The Walking Dead spinoff has secured a renewal through season three, and Zabel hints at a long-term plan. He disclosed discussions with Norman Reedus and confirmed a "very cool plan," though they await confirmation for a fourth season.
"There is a very cool plan," Zabel said. "But we don’t even know if we’re making season four yet."
The location changes, according to Zabel, also provide an opportunity to showcase the diverse effects of the apocalypse worldwide. As for the fate of other franchise characters, he noted that their locations and actions could influence future developments.
Eduardo Noriega, Oscar Jaenada and Alexandra Masangkay join as series regulars in season three, alongside Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbues, Greta Fernandez, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usín and Stephen Merchant.
"The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" season three boasts an impressive executive production team, including Scott M. Gimple, David Zabel, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Dan Percival, Steve Squillante, Silvia Aráez and Jesus de la Vega.
The trailer for "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon "season 3 reveals the main duo arriving in Spain, encountering Stephen Merchant's character in England, and navigating various locations, including a small village and a sailboat. Daryl is seen alone on his motorcycle, with glimpses of zombies and new characters. The trailer concludes with Daryl and Carol acknowledging the close call they had on their journey, hinting at the imminent dangers they face.
While the transition from England to Spain remains unclear, the trailer suggests a separation between Daryl and Carol during their journey. The massive landscapes and new characters introduced promise an engaging story as they continue their pursuit of America, now motivated by the prospect of reuniting with Laurent.
